Discussion will focus on the recently passed 2019-20 state budget.
According to State Rep. DeLissio, “once again, the structural deficit was not addressed in the latest state budget. The budget process is flawed, and citizens would be better served if a handful of lawmakers were not making decisions for all 253 elected senators and representatives. Well-funded special interests have more influence over the budget than rank and file members who represent most of the citizens of the commonwealth. The budget and affiliated code bills are adequate, but adequate should not be what we aspire to during this process. Code bills are often a compilation of other bills and at times, truly a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly. Plenty of free parking is available at Roxborough Church. Take bus route 9 and 27 for those using public transportation.”
As always, folks from all parts of the 194th Legislative District are welcome.
