Building and Planning Committee

Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval of a Conditional Use application. The applicant seeks Conditional Use approval, pursuant to Zoning Code Section 155-4.4.C(6), to modify a condition imposed by the Zoning Hearing Board. The subject condition prohibited additional uses and/or users of the property and the applicant seeks to amend the condition to make the property available for two additional uses: 1. Sabbath services for up to 90 attendees on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Attendees will not drive; and 2. Evening basketball, twice a week, for up to 30 persons, not later than 10pm, entirely indoors.   Staff will review proposed edits to the Draft Ordinance amending the Code of the Township of Lower Merion, Chapter 105, Noise And Exterior Lighting, Article III: Exterior Lighting, which was previously distributed with the May 11, 2022, Building & Planning Committee agenda, including changes to lighting for educational and recreational uses.   In-person attendance by the public will be permitted at this meeting.  Individuals interested in participating virtually should contact Jody Kelley, Township Secretary at (610) 645-6145 or publiccomment@lowermerion.org before 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.  Public comments via email to publiccomment@lowermerion.org, by postal mail addressed to Board of Commissioners, 75 E.
